ADOPT A PET: Meet Noah

ADOPT A PET: Meet Noah

ATLANTA - If you dream of coming home to a wet nose, wagging tail and tons of kisses (in addition to, perhaps, a half-chewed shoe or an overturned trashcan) adopt a puppy from your local Humane Society. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers by adopting a "companion" for yourself or for your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.

According to the Atlanta Humane Society, Noah is a sweet, young and playful puppy. Noah is almost a year old, he’s a Labrador retriever mix. Noah will be happiest in a home without young children and he needs lots of attention. This dog will benefit from obedience training and socialization with other dogs and people; perhaps at a park or a play date.

Subway celebrates 500th Metro Atlanta store

ATLANTA -- With the arrival of several new stores this month, Subway celebrates the opening of more than 500 stores in Metro Atlanta since its first location in 1977.

This milestone is a testament to the Subway brand and the franchisees who have made it so successful in the Atlanta area -- not to mention the world, as Subway is the planet's largest restaurant chain with over 34,000 locations.

"We continue to offer a dining experience that meets the changing tastes and needs of our loyal patrons, so it is no surprise to see this important achievement," said Christi Estis, director of operations for Subway Development of Atlanta. "We could not have reached this milestone without the dedication of our model franchisees and employees.

Grant Park's newest 'it' dessert lounge- Cupcake Lounge

Grant Park's newest 'it' dessert lounge- Cupcake Lounge

This week ReinChild visited  Atlanta's Pop R&B artist Drea Love photo shoot at the new Cupcake Lounge. From first glance you can see why she decided on the location. From the sweet smell of cupcakes baking that greet you at the door to the beautiful interior design of the venue. The staff was accommodating and the owners were happy to sit in on the shoot to socialize. As the shoot progressed many customers came in, not to be nosey about the photo shoot but to purchase a few cupcakes. Some even sat down in the lounge just to enjoy their sweets and socialize. It was hard to deny taking home a few.
