Atlanta Police looking for flasher in Inman Park area | News
ATLANTA (WXIA) – Police are searching for a flasher who exposed himself to women in the city's Inman Park neighborhood.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the suspect to come forward.
A 21-year-old woman told 11Alive's Kevin Rowson it happened to her twice while she was walking from the Inman Park MARTA station to her internship about five blocks away. It was she who helped police develop a sketch they hope will put an end to his perversion.
Police said they believe there have been multiple victims of this man, described as 6-feet-1-inches tall, wearing blue gym shorts at the time of the first reported incident. The reported incidents have all happened on Edgewood Avenue in Inman Park, within about a quarter-mile of each other. Investigators said there may have been other women the suspect has exposed himself to. They are hoping those women will come forward and report the incidents to police.
"At this point, there is no physical contact," said Atlanta Police Officer Ralph Woolfolk. "But, once again, we are examining all possibilities. We're asking that individuals take a close look at the sketch."
The 21-year-old victim did not want to go on camera Monday evening, but told Kevin Rowson that the suspect flashed her once while he was riding a bike, and another time while he was sitting on someone's front porch. As for how accurate the sketch is? She said, "That's him."
