Sketch released of suspect in Freedom Parkway Trail incident

ATLANTA – Authorities have released the sketch of a man wanted in an attempted attack on a jogger on Atlanta's Freedom Parkway Trail.

According to Atlanta police, 29-year-old Pearl Ryder said she was jogging on Freedom Parkway Path on August 11 when a man jumped out of the woods and began to follow her. Ryder told police when she started yelling at the top her lungs and put her arms up in a defensive mode, the man ran away.

Police say it was her quick-thinking that likely protected her from the would be attacker.

While the man did not touch her and didn't say anything, the jogger said that she felt threatened.

Anyone with information is asked to call the CrimeStoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS(8477).
